
Bob Christenson, CMI Senior Vice President of Brazos Tax Group, LLP has 27 years experience in property tax. Bob is responsible for management and execution of all real estate appeals, negotiations and ARB hearings in numerous states. He coordinates litigation with attorneys and participates in all appraisal district settlement conferences. Bob is responsible for client reporting and compliance filings.
Bob is responsible for all Dallas County, El Paso, Collin and some Tarrant County in Texas. The states of Mississippi, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Alabama, Kansas, Florida and some California real estate. The responsibilities in these jurisdictions are for personal and real estate property appeals, negotiations and Appraisal Review Board hearings, as well as all personal property and real estate hearings.
Previously, Bob was President of the Dallas/Fort Worth Office for Property Tax Associates, Inc. He was responsible for all marketing, Freeport Exemption filings, property tax appeals, negotiations, and tax bill transmittal for clients located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, San Antonio and Austin. Client base increased over 100% in three years.
As a Senior Tax Consultant with Real Estate Tax Service, he was responsible for appeals of land, apartments, hotels and personal property for Tarrant County. Traveled nationwide to file appeals and handle specialty appeals (i.e. retirement homes, apartments). Responsible for the service of clients that generated fees in excess of $600,000 annually. Coordinated and performed delinquent tax searches along with providing computerized tax bill transmittals to all clients. In addition, prepared reports and customized tax calendars to clients.
Bob has 27 years experience with over 1600 ARB Hearings. He is member of the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals (TAPTP) where he holds a Senior Certified Member designation. He is also a Senior Property Tax Consultant for the State of Texas.
In 2007, he recieved the coveted CMI designation with the Institute of Professional in Taxation, of which he is a member.
